Getting to Macau from Hong Kong is incredibly easy: one hour, 20 euros and you're in. They have their own currency but they are accepting HKDollars pretty much everywhere.
In "The Vegas of China" you can be overwhelmed by the big Casinos and admire some portuguese builings: Macau has been a portuguese colony for a long time. Apparently you can have very good poruguese desert ,that I must admit I did not try. Shame on me.
We walked through the big casinos streets and went to look at some of them in the inside. Fancyyyyyy. We then had a walk in a portuguese park where we found some training machines and , in a heat of almost 30 degrees, we decided to try them. If everybody is sweaty and stinks, nobody is really going to care, right ? :S
Then we got hungry and we provided ourself some street food : dumplings and rice rolls with peanut butter and soy sauce dressing. It was really tasty.
Keep in mind : casinos organize free shuttle bus from the harbour and everybody (21+) can join the ride for free even though you are not really going to gamble something.
PS: one thing i learned from this day is that group travel does not work. We were 15 people that left together and only 7 of us arrived there. Less then 50% -not bad!
